Anyway we are now touching dangerously close to discussing piracy for this forum.Įither that or you have whdload files which need you to set up your own Amiga hdf hard drive images, which in turn will need copies of Amiga Workbench images and game adf images to eventually make work. The version of Kickstart needed may not be in the free version of AmigaForever. Have you actually got hdf (Amiga hard disk file) images for each game? If so you'll need to match the version of Kickstart with the version of Workbench used in the disk image. It's expected that disk images for most, if not all, Amiga games would be in this format.Īmiga hard disk is more difficult. Libretro Docs cam help you with that.Īdf (Amiga Disk File) is the main Amiga floppy disk image format. Once you have the right Kickstart file you need to make sure has been renamed correctly and placed in the right location for RA to find it. You only need AmigaForever to extract the BIOS file, aka Kickstart. I just wanted to play some speedball and barbarian so if anyone can offer any glimmer of hope here it will be appreciated. Launching individual files either brings up a nintendo and some other random core to select from (no Hatari which I have added) or it suggests I "recover cores". Found that I need a kickstart file and as that doesnt seem to be available I gave up.Ītari needed a TOS file which I did find and inserted in the system folder but when I do the same file scan for ST games, it goes through the motions but no Atari playlist like I got with the amstrad. I attempted the same with Amiga and had no luck. This was done by scanning the folder and it created a little icon entry for Amstrad CPC that I can click on, select a game and play (The retroarch keyboard overlay/short cuts render them unplayable but that s another thing!). I had success downloading a file of Amstrad CPC games. I'm requesting some help with playing amiga and Atari ST games on retroarch because I've spent too long on it now to go any further without losing sanity.
